WVCY has a Roman Catholic tell Christians about that dangers of Islam? Who is going to expose the dangers of the RCC on WVCY?

I like Bill Federer. I once emailed him and got some documentation from him. I'm sure he had a lot of good stuff at the rally. Still, WVCY is supposed to be an evangelical Christian station. They have no business having a Roman Catholic pose as a saved Christian to warn us about Islam. Several times during the rally he equated Christianity" with the RCC - and VCY did NOTHING to correct that misrepresentation. How could they? They were SPONSORING it!

WVCY just spread the false and damnable lie that the RCC is a true Christian church. WVCY is APOSTATE. The RCC does NOT teach salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ. They teach a false sacramental salvation that will send adherents to HELL just as fast as Islam, according to the Bible. And VCY just aided and abetted the great whore of Revelation.

An account from a WVCY listener: Federer repeatedly and emphatically equated Romanism with Christianity. North Africa used to be "Christian". After all, there were 250 Catholic dioceses from Egypt to Tunisia, and the area was the home territory of several famous Catholic saints. According to Federer, "Christianity" took a strong stand against Muslims in the past. Haven't you ever heard of the Crusades? According to Federer, many Muslims turn away the moon god Allah to become Christians. It has to be true, because Federer told about a priest who leads Muslims out of their pagan superstitions and idolatry to the one true church.

Improving?

I must admit, either WVCY is not having as many Roman Catholic guests and hosts, or they are hiding them better. That, at least at first glance, is an improvement.

However, I have not heard of them exposing the damnable heresies of the RCC even though they have shown a fervor in debunking New Age religions and even Mormonism. The RCC is older, more widespread, and more dangerous than all those. It should get more coverage from a Christian station (and not positive coverage, but exposure).

Unfortunately, the other day I heard them play the X-mas carol, "Little Drummer Boy". With all the Christmas hymns available, I don't know why they'd play one that is totally unscriptural and made-up. Not only unscriptural, but anti-scriptural in that it reinforces works salvation (in line with Roman Catholic doctrine).

We are glad they appear to have made some small steps in the right direction, but we want to keep pushing them to the right.

We have no problem with Vic and Brannon exposing Mormonism and Glenn Beck, as well as rebuking the Christians who are supporting Beck's ecumenical hodgepodge which included Muslim Imams, Jewish Rabbis, Mormon Elders, and Catholic Priests.

But what we have noticed is that in the past week, WVCY has had THREE shows exposing Mormonism.

Where are all their shows exposing Roman Catholicism? Rome has much greater influence in ecumenism than the Mormon LDS. The RCC is just as much an unscriptural, damnable cult as the LDS.

Why three shows exposing and rebuking Mormonism but ZERO exposing Roman Catholicism?

Well, there are probably not enough Mormons who send VCY money to make much of a difference if they got upset. There probably are enough Roman Catholics who send VCY money that it would make a noticeable difference if they stopped sending money because they got upset.

My favorite Bible teacher says, "If it doesn't make sense, there's a buck in it." (More commonly, "Follow the money trail.").

TG: I don't know if Shoebat is Catholic himself, but he has been an apologist for the Roman Catholic Church. One of his main topics is refuting the view that the Roman Catholic Church is the "whore" of Revelation. He is certainly well accepted by Roman Catholics, as can be easily ascertained from a simple internet search.

I do know that WVCY called him a "Christian". So if he is a Catholic, perhaps one of those Maronites, or some other branch of the RCC, this is an unexcusable error for an evangelical station to make.

Of course there are abusers in all denominations. I know of four Baptist child sexual abusers. ALL FOUR are currently in PRISON - turned in by other fundamental Baptists. THAT is the difference. We don't condone and cover up such behavior. OTOH, the RCC sweeps it under a rug, and moves the offending priest to another parish, so he has fresh meat to prey on.

So why is VCY runnig an entire show ripping on fundamental Baptists, but no show ripping on the RCC? Are they helping the Pope cover up his church's abuses?

Speaking from the window of the papal apartment overlooking St. Peter's Square on May 23, Pope Benedict XVI exalted Mary in divine terms. He said there is "no Pentecost without Mary" and claimed that "she is in all places and times" ("No Church without Pentecost, no Pentecost without Mary," EWTN News, May 23, 2010).

This blasphemous statement attributes omnipresence to a mere creature. The pope also prayed the Regina Coeli (Queen of Heaven), asking God to grant "that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary we may lay hold of the joys of eternal life."

Not far from the Vatican is the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, one of the four papal basilicas, which hosts a 12-foot-tall crucifix with Mary hanging on the cross with Jesus.

The fact that evangelicalism today does not condemn in no uncertain terms the Roman Catholic Church for its blasphemies and vile heresies, and for the multitudes of saints that she has tormented and killed, is irrefutable evidence of evangelicalism's spiritual blindness and apostasy.

This wretched condition is, among other things, the fruit of Billy Graham's philosophy of ecumenical evangelism, and if the Southern Baptist Convention had any real spiritual life and conviction it would have renounced Graham decades ago instead of exalting him as a great man of God. The SBC today is Sardis. It has a name that it lives, but it is dead. And large numbers of independent Baptists are following rapidly in these compromising footsteps by toning down the reproof of error, downgrading the doctrine of separation, and hating the reprovers more than the compromisers.

WHAT AM I TRYING TO ACHIEVE?

That is the question a friend at church asked me. That question has been dealt with a few times in this blog, at http://wvcy.blogspot.com/2010/03/heres-why-it-matters.html and http://wvcy.blogspot.com/2009/11/why-rebuke-vcy.html

Another thing he mentioned was that, when it comes to causes we both oppose, like the homosexual agenda and abortion, "We can throw stones together with the Catholics".

That might sound good on the surface, but let's think it through. What if we use this same logic the other way?

We certainly disagree with the Roman Catholic sacramental works salvation. We believe that is a damnable heresy. We strongly oppose many RCC doctrines, among them, Mary veneration, auricular confession to a priest, transsubstantiation, mandatory celibacy, and purgatory. Homosexuals and abortionists also oppose the Roman Catholic church. Can we join with THEM to "throw stones" at the RCC?

I don't think my friend would stand with the queers and baby killers to throw stones at the RCC in a million years. I don't think he'd stand with the homosexual pro-gun group, the "Pink Pistols", to throw stones at the gun grabbers either. But why not? Why the double standard? All three groups are damnable and abominable. In fact, I'm sure the RCC has sent more people to hell than the homosexual movement and the abortion industry combined.

We are to stand where the Lord wants us to stand. We don't have to stand "with" anybody. We might be throwing stones at the same target as others, but that is not the same as joining with them or throwing stones together.

But it goes beyond that. Though our church stands against abortion and the homosexual agenda, and the RCC also professes to stand against these things - we don't invite Roman Catholic priests and/or spokesmen to speak from our pulpit or hold meetings in our church. We don't promote their ministries, organizations, leaders, and websites. WVCY DOES.

(Conversely, we stand against the errors of the RCC, but we don't invite homosexuals or abortionists into our pulpit to help us throw stones at them either.)

Granted, WVCY is not a church, but they do claim to be evangelical and against ecumenism. If they do not practice what they preach, and give Catholics generous amounts of air time, I have the right and obligation to speak against them.

My friend thought this was not an effective way to go about it. Well, I believe being silent would not only be even less effective, but derelict. He thought both Vic and I were "stubborn" and nothing would be accomplished. He's probably right about that. But there is one difference, I'm stubborn and RIGHT. Vic is stubborn and WRONG.

My friend was right. This blog wasn't very effective - until Vic decided to help make it effective. My friend was another who wasn't even aware this blog existed - until Vic tossed Wyldewood to the curb. Now the blog is becoming widely known. This all happened because Vic got bothered by a little blog that hardly anybody knew existed. Then he refused to heed the advice of my Pastor to simply ignore it. So whatever happens, Vic brought it upon himself after being warned not to.

My goal is to prevent the ecumenical slide of WVCY - or at least expose it if they refuse to get back on course. I also want to see them be honest, both about the Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee fiasco, and about their ecumenical slide.

I told Vic at the very beginning if he would make the correction about Ron Paul, I would give him credit right here on this blog and that probably would've put out my fire. Instead Vic threatened to throw Wyldewood off the air way back then, and that threw gasoline on the fire. Now by actually throwing Wyldewood off the air, he has thrown lighter fluid on the fire. What's next? Is Vic going to throw thermite into the fire?

Is INGRID INNOCENT, IGNORANT or INSIDIOUS?

We have already covered this some, but now we can provide the transcript of Ingrid's comments to help you decide.

First, Vic Eliason said they had known about, and wrestled with the drift of Janet Porter's program for MONTHS and finally decided to take action as the heat was turned up.

Second, Ingrid Schlueter, Vic's daugher who is being groomed to take over WVCY, played like she had just become aware of the situation in the past few days. Was she correct, we Vic correct, or are they both clueless?

Third, Vic updated his statement that they had been issuing warnings to Porter for YEARS and were finally, begrudgingly forced to take action. Talk about pouring gasoline into the fire.

Fourth, records show that Ingrid interviewed the people involved, about the heresies involved, several times over the past 2-3 years. She certainly SHOULD have had a clue as to what was going on.

Addendum: "evangelicals — Roman Catholics, Jews, people of other faiths" ... Other faiths? In addition to Catholicism and Judaism? What other faiths? Islam? Rustafarianism? Buddhism? That's certainly more ecumenical that Janet Porter has ever been - and WVCY threw her off the air. Why are they interviewing this guy for a second time? How can they justify dumping F2A and then going back to this guy again? What rank hypocrisy.

If they have been issuing warnings and directives for YEARS, been concerned for MONTHS, how come Ingrid said she was only aware of these things for a few DAYS?

So was Ingrid simply innocent and ignorant, or was WVCY guilty of allowing heresy and blasphemy to be broadcast on their airwaves, at their expense, with their complicity, until the spotlight was turned on and they had to take action? I think the answer is obvious.

No doubt the WVCY web master is hard at work right now wearing out his 'delete' key.

Too late. The continued perfidy of WVCY has been exposed again. My only goal is to get them to clean up their act, but I keep finding more and more dirt, with almost no effort. What would I find if I looked closer?

P.S. Vic is going to realize that by throwing Wyldewood off the air, he gave up the only leverage he had on me. Deputy Fife fired the only bullet in his gun, missed wildly, and now is out of ammo. Sheriff Andy is just shaking his head and chuckling at poor old Barney. Maybe he will do a CrossTalk eposide on me. It would be an honor.

Look at chapters four and five in particular.

This documentation proves that WVCY has been leaning ecumenical for YEARS - even decades. They cannot simply blame it on Janet Porter's program over the last few months, when they have enthusiastically supported it all this time. F2A was just a scapegoat to make it look like WVCY was taking action.

PART OF THE PROBLEM

Perhaps a big part of why WVCY is currently in such a state of confusion, contradiction, and compromise is because nobody was sounding the alarm. VCY had little accountability among fundamental Christians who gave VCY a free pass because the other stations were even worse.

I have heard a couple of comments like, "The only halfway decent Christian station in town, and you're picking on them!"

But that's exactly why I speak out about them. The other stations are lost causes. I thought WVCY might be salvageable. And so what if they are better than the ungodly contemporary "Christian" stations? If they are doing things wrong, they still should be called out on it.

It's the attitude that, "They are the tallest dwarf in the circus, so we should leave them alone and only expose the shorter dwarfs." that has allowed WVCY to escape the scrutiny they should have been under all along.

The Bible tells us to PROVE ALL THINGS, to TRY the Spirits, to be circumspect, and similar admonitions. It doesn't say to let WVCY off the hook because they are not as liberal as WEMI (yet). They will become that liberal if we don't keep them accountable.

Every day that goes by leaves me more convinced that I've done the right thing by holding VCY's feet to the fire. I have no intention of letting up until they clean up their act.

MC: We haven't listened consistently for some time because I was tired of turning it off due to subject matter inappropriate for my children. ... It seemed each talk program covered subject matter inappropriate for our children. We listen to a couple of select programs on Saturday mornings when we remember to do so. We turn off some of those, too, though. On a recent Sunday morning, we turned the station on to hear some preaching and found NONE.

TG: That was Wyldewood's time slot. Vic's decision to run us off the air is costing WVCY listeners.

The F2A series was just another whiny female preacher. I basically quit listening to VCY when Vic’s daughter took over. Remember Vic has spent the last 15 or so years building the WVCY network over building a work for the Lord. Compromise brought in the funds for cable, satellite and remote broadcasting. Now that they are no longer local he has become timid on doctrine and strong on promotion of the station for the growth of the station. The same mistakes that many churches make. ... It may be the best thing for Wyldewood, that they were taken off the air. I’m glad you’re in there exposing this nonsense.

From a friend in SE WI:

I could see trouble down the road for Vic and VCY 20 years ago when it was obvious that he couldn't delegate. At that time, they had the local radio and TV stations in Milwaukee plus a small but growing radio network. At his peak, Vic was an excellent talk show host, but he didn't "keep the main thing the main thing" and spread himself too thin.

Move forward 20 years. The radio network is much larger, they have had to put millions into the TV station just to keep pace technologically (no gain in viewers for the investment), and they added the Trail Ridge camp to the mix. It appears the place is still being run like a 1930s corner grocery store.

Vic is also 20 years older (now in his 70s) and not in the best of health. They've got an oil and water mix of fundamental music and ecumenical non-music programming. That's not a viable format. Choose one direction or the other.

Despite all those problems, it's not like the place can't be revitalized and straightened out except for one giant problem. Ingrid is the (Name Withheld) of VCY. She is probably the main culprit in the ecumenical drift, and she has lifetime tenure. I have some ideas on what could be done, but they all involve putting Ingrid on the unemployment line. That won't fly.

When I got married 3 1/2 years ago, I wanted my new family (4 kids) to listen to WVCY as much as possible. But then Vic and crew repeatedly spread lies about Ron Paul and misled listeners about Mike Huckabee. Being familiar with Dr. Paul, the kids caught onto that right away. It sure sent a confusing message that the "Christian" station I wanted them to listen to was telling them as many falsehoods as the public schools I wanted to get them out of.

Plus, the five of them had just gotten saved out of a church that taught infant baptism was efficacious for salvation. The last thing they needed was to hear Lutherans and Catholics for several hours a day (before and/or after they trusted Christ). They were getting more exposure to those from WVCY then they were getting by attending their father's Lutheran church every other week.

WVCY was on the brink of doing great DAMAGE to my family with their ecumenical slant, so we had to turn them off.

When I FIRST contacted Vic to complain about the Ron Paul misrepresentation, rather than humbly consider the possibility that he erred, Vic's FIRST response was to threaten to pull our church off the air. I really didn't expect that strong-armed, manipulative response, but it drew clear battle lines right away. It told me that VCY didn't care if my kids got sound doctrine, heard truth, or were deceived and even led to hell.

Like the Pastor above said, they are now building a radio station rather than a Christian ministry.

First (strike one), don't those Jews count? I mean, they did not agree on the main things that "Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the second person of the Trinity, whose death and resurrection provide the sole means of salvation and a relationship with God the Father. ". What are they doing speaking at a Christian event?

Second (strike two), the Roman Catholics at Janet's circus do not believe Jesus is the sole means of salvation. They believe Mary is the co-redemptrix and the sacraments must be performed - and even then, salvation is not assured. Watch out for Purgatory, Ms. Porter.

Third (strike three, yer out), Janet refers to lost, Christ-rejecting Jews as "brothers". That is blasphemy toward the Lord Jesus Christ and a smear toward Christians who are brothers in Christ.

If it was misguided, why did WVCY promote it for several weeks? They are talking out of both sides of their mouth. Promote an event with one side, and complain about it with the other. You know like John McCain being a "maverick" while running against Obama, but "never being a maverick" while running against Hayworth. Or the Republicans who voted for Bush's bailouts but against Obama's. Or Obama voting for Bush's bailout, then complaining about its results (and then supporting his own bailouts). Or the many politicians who "voted for it before I voted against it".

Something sure is misguided at WVCY.

TG: I have mixed emotions about this. I take small solace in seeing F2A tossed out. I'd rather have seen them clean up their act, along with WVCY.

On one hand, the dismissal might be a step towards cleaning up their act. OTOH, it might just be an effort to save face by making Janet their sacrificial lamb (AKA scapegoat) to give the appearace they are doing something. This looks like classic damage control. Maybe when they say they've been "wrestling for months" over their decision, they mean like professional wrestling, where the moves are, eh, orchestrated?

F2A was hardly the only ecumenical influence on WVCY. Are they going to also dismiss the Lutheran who went to a Roman Catholic university who often hosts "CrossTalk"? Are they going to stop giving Roman Catholics so much air time? We will see. One thing for sure, if they continue to give Catholics so much air time, they can no longer blame anyone else.

Being that WVCY has provided "satellite services, air time, production, and line fees without charge" it's surprising this would be the course of action taken. Did VCY not check out F2A before investing all this into it? Did they not communicate with Porter? Were they caught by surprise like a woolly mammoth being overtaken by a glacier moving a few inches a year? I have not noticed much of a "drift". F2A has been ecumenical all along (of course so have been other VCY programs).

If they are looking for someone who is not ecumenical to fill in the time with a program about the issues of the day and their relevance to Christians, Pastor Ralph Ovadal has an excellent web-based program. He has experience in Christian broadcasting (particularly dealing with issues of the day like abortion, the sodomite agenda, cults, etc.) and will be steadfast in his convictions.

On the May Day committee one finds the names of numerous Roman Catholics (many that have made this blog before) and Jewish rabbis among some other curious people, including a number of women preachers and "pastoresses". Several Roman Catholics, such as Priest Peter West, were billed as prayer leaders.

An ad for "GOD TV" in the May Day program shows a girl praying with rosary beads.

Christian rock, will be used not only to open and close the event, but it will also be used like "bumper music" for 10-15 minutes at the close of each session. Sonicflood, in the above photo, wrote the May Day theme song. Notice those men with women's hair and earrings, with the Romanist and Marian images on their shirts.

But if I point this stuff out, I am "railing" according to Vic. Well, he is compromising according to me - and, I believe, according to God:

Since it traces back to the Pope himself, who covered for the queer priests who molested the boys back when he was the Vatican secretary, no doubt Vic has had several shows exposing Pope Ratzinger and the RCC, right?

After all, this gives WVCY a chance to cover many facets at once. They can expose the sodomite movement and stand for morality. They can shine some light on the altar boy situation and perhaps help some from being molested in the future. They can expose false doctrines of the Marian cult.

In fact, this is an issue they could even interview Catholics about - and it would be totally appropriate and I wouldn't even complain about it.

Since Vic seemed to have no problem making Wyldewood Baptist Church look bad publicly, I'm sure he would not have any problem with making the Roman Catholic Church look bad publicly - especially with such a legitimate reason. No way would Vic protect the reputation of the RCC, would he?

I'm sure WVCY has spent at least as much time on exposing the RCC sodomite child molesters as they have given Roman Catholics air time on WVCY. Right?

FOR VIC FROM MY PAL AL:

It's ironic how Vic Eliason has suddenly developed such an interest in church discipline and the authority of the local church after he popishly and clumsily attempted to dictate policy to such a body of believers.

Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe Mr. Eliason does have a genuine interest in this spiritual issue. If that's the case, I'm sure he wouldn't mind answering these simple questions.

1. Are you a member in good standing of a Bible believing and preaching church? If you are a member, please name the church.

2. If you are a church member, do you submit yourself to the authority of the pastors, deacons and/or elders?

3. Christians sometimes leave churches for legitimate reasons. They may not be "in fellowship" for a period of time, but this shouldn't be a regular condition. That leads to my question. If you are not a member of a good church at this time, how long has it been since you were a church member?

4. Have you ever played a role in starting, causing, agitating or encouraging a church split?

5. At least one VCY staff member has attended a Catholic university in recent times. Are any VCY employees involved with Roman Catholic parishes or parachurch groups?

Dr. Jerome Corsi received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in political science in 1972.

Corsi has been discussed here before. He's a good guy, had good information, etc. but he's a Roman Catholic. A supposed Christian station has no business giving so many Catholics airtime unless they are willing to openly identify the guest as a lost man with heretical religious beliefs (and if they did that, he would not likely be one of their REGULAR guests).

This was on the subject of illegal immigration. WVCY can't find a Christian with a salvation testimony to speak on the subject? What about Tom Tancredo, a saved Presbyterian? Or Ron Paul, a saved Baptist? They don't need to have a Roman Catholic on this topic - they CHOOSE to have Roman Catholics.

Then Vic doesn't want to be held accountable for HIS OWN choices.

Has anybody noticed the incredible double-standard employed by Vic and VCY?

Besides the fact that his para-church ministry is endeavoring to dictate to and control an entire church and its Pastor, Vic is demanding that the whole church and Pastor be held accountable for the PRIVATE actions of ONE church member. This in a matter the Pastor is not involved in at all and has no position on and that 95% of the church was not even aware of.

Vic has thrown this church off the air and deprived thousands of people from hearing the gospel and preaching from the Bible by the most sound, successful, and fundamental church in the state of Wisconsin.

Yet when it comes to his own ministry, Vic is whining about being held accountable for what is broadcast by his radio station. He does not want to be held accountable for the heretical, and even damnable beliefs, of SEVERAL of the individuals and programs he airs PUBLICLY. He does not want to be held accountable for giving the Roman Catholic Church more exposure on his station than a typical Roman Catholic Church allows. He does not want to be held accountable for passing lost Catholics, who believe heretical doctrines, off as Christians (if nothing else by neglecting to identify and disclaim them specifically). Of course Vic also failed to accept responsibility for airing misrepresentations of Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee during the election.

And when someone points out these blatant inconsistencies and holds him accountable for his own actions, Vic calls it "railing".

VIC STEPS IN BEAR TRAP

A friend of mine just got a quick education on what Vic Eliason is like. Considering that this friend is one of the dozen or so people most likely to have been aware of this blog, yet he was unaware of it, he learned that Vic is an expert marksman at shooting himself in the foot. Now hundreds of people will know about this blog directly due to Vic's action. I couldn't possibly afford the free advertisement Vic just gave this blog, if that had been my goal. Thanks for the wonderful PSA, Mr. Eliason.

My friend also learned that Vic will erect his own bear traps and then step into them. My friend's initial letter was very innocent and benign, but Vic's own reply turned it into a self-made bear-trap.

Dear Mr. Eliason, I am a member of Wyldewood Baptist Church, and am extremely disappointed that you have taken us off the air. Aren't there bigger things in the world to worry about than Teno Groppi? Without giving commentary on him being right or wrong, isn't VCY larger than some unknown blog? Sad that a long term relationship has been ended by a third party that doesn't represent the church. I hope you reconsider and we can put these issues behind us.

Thank you for your reply, and your thoughts on this matter. I don't believe Mr. Groppi has railed within the church or among the church body against VCY. For sure I have not heard any comments at all about VCY from Mr. Groppi. He has, in the privacy of his own home, showed dismay about guests on two of your programs being Catholic and/or ecumenical. (I also had no idea he even had a blog about WVCY).

You have shown dismay towards him, and penalized Wyldewood Baptist Church for not following your request for censure. Which removing the radio program is your prerogative. I believe your judging of Mr. Groppi is more based on irritation than Biblical principle.

If you are telling me that Wyldewood Baptist Church is in violation of separation issues, the same accusation can be applied to VCY.

Isn't having Catholics and ecumenical organizations on your programs a violation of basic Bible separation? Aren't we to separate and have no fellowship with them?

So far I have not heard that Mr. Groppi is a liar, which I know him not to be, but the uttering of bitter complaints. I am assuming that he is correct in his assertion that Crosstalk and Faith to Action have Catholics and other non-regenerate believers promoting their organizations on their programs. Perhaps you could correct me if he is wrong.

Either way, I believe that VCY offers a tremendous service to thousands of people, and appreciate the ministry. I also affirm that I believe this is an issue that can be worked through.

TG: I believe this as well. In fact that's WHY I have spoken up. I expect the ecumenical, compromising "Christian" radio stations to be guilty of those things. But I wanted my wife and children to be able to listen to WVCY.

If you cannot see past this, I sure hope you see that in picking the mote out of Wyldewood's eye you first need to pick the beam out of VCY's eye.

In closing I hope you see that I am not trying to twist an arm, but legitimately say that we should reconcile rather than let the "root of bitterness" spring up and destroy a good thing. I love a lot of what VCY is doing and have appreciated their testimony up to this point.

HERE'S WHY IT MATTERS

Why am I making such a big deal over WVCY giving the Roman Catholic Church more airtime than many Roman Catholic Churches?

For one, WVCY purports to be a "Christian" station, not an ecumenical one.

Why am I upset that Vic dropped Pastor Ralph Ovadal from his station, largely over the RCC issue, put Bro. Dave Hunt's show on the air as alleged evidence that he was not pandering to the RCC, and then also dropped Dave Hunt as soon as the smoke cleared?

Back about 1983 a young Roman Catholic man was being witnessed to by some Christians. He asked lots of questions and investigated the difference between what the Bible taught and what the RCC taught.

He began going to Catholic mass on Sundays and a fundamental Baptist Church on Wednesdays & Sunday evenings to compare the two.

He began listening to the Christian radio stations back in Michigan. One show was a local church's preaching show that came on early in the morning. It covered a varitey of topics, as any good church would. In fact, it was much like Wyldewood Baptist's "Voice of Victory" program that Vic just threw off the air.

That young man set his alarm clock to that station and listened to their sermon as he got up.

One day they had a program entitled, "Is the Pope in Heaven?" The message gave a very even-handed look at the differences between the RCC and the Bible. The most "offensive" part of the broadcast was its title. The information was just what this questioning young man needed. It clearly dealt with, and answered many of the questions and lingering doubts this young man had on the issue.

Not long afterward, having his doubts and fears erased, this young man trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. His eternity was turned from a fiery hell to a blissful heaven. That program played a major part in his conversion and growth.

No doubt on any given week there are MULTITUDES going through the same struggles. But if others were going through the same struggle the next week, they would've remained struggling and confused because this church's broadcast was removed from the station! Others seeking the truth the next week, the week after, and every successive week since, would NOT have had their questions lovingly answered, NOT have had their doubts and fears erased. They would still be on the path to HELL because that cowardly radio station censored the truth.

Now we have Vic Eliason throwing yet ANOTHER ministry off his station, largely over the Roman Catholic issue (even though the church broadcast itself was not guilty). He's doing much the same thing as the station in Michigan did in 1983 and will reap the same spiritual results.

Vic Eliason began this edition of Crosstalk with an audio cut from Americans United for Life Action. The speaker gives an outline of what she feels is the real “end game” for health care reform and what needs to be done to stop taxpayer funding of abortion.

Just another example showing that Vic doesn't stray far from Rome for very long.

Americans United for Life (http://www.aul.org/About_AUL?p=116) is full of Roman Catholics. If you check their diectors and advisors you will find numerous Catholics, including priests.

In dealing with abortion, you will occasionally encounter pro-life Catholics. If we saw this kind of thing occasionally, we wouldn't make a big deal about it. But we see this regularly on WVCY. They seem to prefer airing Roman Catholics even when they don't have to.

They could contact "Baptists for Life" (http://www.bflw.org/) when they need commentary on abortion issues. We just had Bro. Gene Green at our church last month. WVCY wouldn't have to violate anyone's conscience if they went to such sources instead of ones with Catholic ties.

VIC FINALLY FLEXES HIS MUSCLE

With no other leverage to use, Vic finally decided to throw Wyldewood Baptist Church's broadcast off the air this week.

Once again, Vic made his move as Pastor King was heading out of the country on a mission trip. That has been Vic's modus operandi.

Vic is trying to run our church and our Pastor and tell him how he must operate. He was trying to force Pastor King to throw me out of the church. Apparently, Pastor King's latest reaction let Vic know that wasn't going to happen.

Pastor King has not even taken a position on the squabbles between me and WVCY, nor should he have to, it's not his battle. But he refuses to let Vic strongarm him.

I take absolutely no delight in this. I was not trying to get our church's broadcast thrown off the air, but Vic had no other cards to play.

In this economy, I suspect WVCY will have trouble filling the slot with another sound doctrinal fundamental church willing and able to pay for the air time. Or maybe they will replace us with a seeker-sensitive ecumenical church.

I also think this may be a case of Vic shooting himself in the foot. Few people at Wyldewood even know about this blog or the issues at controversy. They will find out now and stand to lose even more support from a church body that has been very supportive over the years. Vic has been upset by and scared of shadows. He greatly overestimated my influence and the reach of this blog. But now the influence and range are about to increase, because Vic himself has taken this initiative.

Thanks for the help, Vic. You've done more to promote this blog and to get people to read it with one move than I have done in two years.

I Can't Keep Up!

With both CrossTalk and Faith2Action constantly giving Catholics and Catholic supporters air time, it's hard to keep up. I've probably missed some.

This past week Janet Porter interviewed Elaine Donnely, who was on CrossTalk not long ago.

I don't know for sure if Donnelly is Catholic, but she did attent Catholic Jesuit University of Detroit (http://cmrlink.org/elainebio.asp) and she "got her start in politics working alongside [Catholic] Phyllis Schlafly (http://news.lavenderliberal.com/2008/05/02/elaine-donnelly-one-nasty-anti-gay-misogynistic-piece-of-work/).

So even she is not officially Roman Catholic, WVCY still gave the RCC "props" on this show.

He is certainly well accepted by Roman Catholics, as can be easily ascertained from a simple internet search.

I do know that WVCY called him a "Christian". So if he is a Catholic, perhaps one of those Maronites, or some other branch of the RCC, this is an unexcusable error for an evangelical station to make.

BULLSEYE!

Here's something to consider. We have one little blog that probably less than ten people at my own church (which runs 500-600 on a Sunday morning) are even aware of. Yet Vic and VCY are throwing hissy fits over it. Vic has called my pastor to complain. He tried to get him to kick me out of my church. Vic threatened to pull our church's broadcast off the air. Either Vic, or his lackeys have threatened to blackball me (shivers!). They forbid me to post anything on their blog. They call me mean-spirited, hate-filled, gluttonous, and other ad hominem insults.

If they are innocent of the things I have accused them of - WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF? They are trying to shout me down, silence me, and behaving like they have something to hide. If they are innocent, you'd think they'd want to publicize these things to clear their reputation.

Guilty or not, I can't understand the thumb-sucking reaction they have exhibited. If you do an internet search for my name, you'll find a couple of dozen truly hateful sites. The evolutionists hate me. The atheists hate me. The homosexuals hate me. They spew vile and profane things about me. They lie about me. They twist my words out of context.

These have been online for years and I haven't lost a wink of sleep over them. I know they are not true, and anyone who investigates them learns the same thing.

Before we married, my then-fiancee did an internet search on me and found all those things. We're happily married today.

I wasn't worried about my finacee, or anyone, digging up the truth about me. Why is WVCY so scared of the same scrutiny?

They say when you throw a stone down a dark alley, if you hear a yelp, you know you've hit something. Well, WVCY is certainly yelping. The yelp may resemble an effeminate lisp, but it is an unmistakeable yelp.

The problem isn't that Bill Federer or Phyllis Schlafly are bad people or that they have nothing valuable to say. The issue is that WVCY is giving the Roman Catholic Church as much air time as many RC churches do. And they often label these people as "Christians". They do not identify them as Catholics or expose the doctrinal errors of the RCC when they give them air time.

WVCY claims to be a Christian station, not an ecumenical one. There's no reason they can't interview evangelical/fundamental Christians on these same issues, religious or political.

And they certainly ought to tell the truth about political candidates like Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee. Here's documentation that Huckabee supported the Lawrence vs. Texas decision that declared homosexuality a constitutional right at the federal level and struck down all State anti-sodomy laws was "appropriate".

This WVCY Blog equated Ron Paul with homosexuality and promotes Mike Huckabee. I posted some remarks that I had already sent to Vic Eliason long ago (that you can read in the early entries of this blog), giving both Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee's position on homosexual issues. They posted it for a while, then pulled it down and replaced it with these comments:

TG: I don't know how I am going to be able to sleep at night being worried about some cowardly, anonymous blogger blacklisting me. The only reason they knew who I was was because I identified myself up front.

Teno Groppi? Teno hates WVCY and is unable to distinguish between an program discussing political and civic issues and a preaching program. So he developed a hate website filled with name-calling against the ministry, vicious personal attacks, insulting photographs and ranting diatribes. The man is so feared by his church that his pastor at Wyldewood Baptist Church won't deal with him because he called it the equivalent of "wrestling with a pig." That's a quote. You should never be afraid of guys like Teno, pastor. And if you don't deal with them, they have a nasty way of turning on you in the end anyway. Get up from in front of your Ron Paul idol and repent, Groppi.

When I was an altar boy as a youth, our Catholic Church held mass daily, plus three times on Sunday.

That's nine masses a week. That's less exposure than Catholics get on WVCY each week. The masses usually ran about a half hour each, for a total of about five hours. If WVCY averages one Catholic per week on one of it's longer shows, like Crosstalk, or Faith to Action, they are already rivaling the RCC itself for time of exposure.

So we're not talking about an occasional Catholic speaking on some political issue (and even if we were, why so many Catholics when there are plenty of evangelical/fundamental Christians available?)

Like most conservative and Christian media, both Vic Eliason's WVCY and Janet Porter's Faith to Action have had shows about Republican Scott Brown knocking off the Democrat to win Ted Kennedy's vacant seat in Massachusetts. Although they (or at least their callers) gave a little lip-service to Brown's shortcomings, his election has been looked at as a positive development.

But the more I learn, the more I'm convinced this was a greivous mistake.

The BROWN CLOWN

WVCY has done a better job lately of avoiding Catholics (or at least ones that could be easily exposed), but they are not doing any better with the truth.

This week they aired TWO shows lauding the election of Scott Brown to take Ted Kennedy's vacant seat in Masachusetts. While it was perhaps a shot across the bow of the Obama administration to elect a Republican to that seat, Scott Brown's win is no victory to Christians, conservatives, or any supporters of liberty.

Brown is hardly a pro-family conservative. He posed nude for Cosmopolitan (http://www.cosmopolitan.com/celebrity/news/scott-brown-nude-in-cosmo). That might be forgivable as a past indescretion, except that at his victory speech he showed that his family values haven't improved by offering up his daughters (http://www.cosmopolitan.com/celebrity/news/scott-brown-victory-speech).

But those personal issues are minor compared to his political positions.

TG: Vouchers are a trap to get private and Christian schools under the thumb of gov't.

But the main reason he was elected was because he promised to oppose the Obama health control plan. What nobody realized was that he was not against the socialized health control plan - he co-authored Mitt Romney's version. He's only against having two competing plans in Masachusetts. He wants the whole country to have Obamacare, just at the State level.

Massachusetts citizens are taxpayers: it's going to cost upwards of three trillion dollars. Why don't we take a little bit of federal money and fix the approach to the problems that we may have here: mandates and a lot of the managed care issues we've go --let the other states do it [as Massachusetts did].

TG: Not only that, but he is already (just two days after being elected) saying he might support a scaled-down version of Obamacare.

At least a few callers had the sense to call in and challenge Vic and his guests on Brown, who was repeatedly referred to as a "constitutional conservative" on the air.

Not only is Mrs. Schlafly a Roman Catholic, but she is in the contradictory position of being against the "feminist" movement even though she is a very aggressive woman, being a lawyer and a political leader. It is almost no surprise that her oldest son is a homosexual.

So we see Roman Catholics featured at least 11 times a week on WVCY, in addition to the ones we have been exposing.

Now both Federer and Schlafly may be solid, constitutional Americans, who are doing good works. But WVCY is supposed to be a CHRISTIAN station. Is there such a shortage of constitutional Christians that VCY has to settle for Roman Catholics on such a regular (even prolific) basis?

My first concerns when looking at this were twofold. One was that Tooley graduated from the Catholic Georgetown U. The other was that he apparently made the common mistake of confusing our American REPUBLIC with a democracy (A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. A Republic is the lamb having the right to bear arms to protect his freedom.).

Why am I not surprised?

It's possible that van Heerdon was raised Catholic, attended a Catholic school, and has since gotten saved. But it's also possible that a pro-Catholic slant is why the Pope was presented as a saved Christian who went up in the rapture in the "Left Behind" movie that van Heerdon co-produced.

Everywhere I look on WVCY I find Catholic connections and Catholics portrayed as Christians - virtually on a daily basis. This is getting deeper than I expected.

WHY REBUKE VCY?

I did not set out to get into a battle with WVCY. I am not out to "get Vic". They drug me into the fray. I gave them chances to prevent this.

WVCY is the only conservative, Christian station in our listening range (unfortunately they may be using that fact to take conservative Christian listeners for granted). This skirmish grieves me greatly, for the reasons you will see below. The shame of it is there is no other radio station for a fundamental Christian to listen to. The other Christian stations are all more liberal and play rock music. All that's left are a few conservative talk shows and they are not always sound.

Once I am in a battle with somebody who was not an avowed, obvious enemy, I admittedly force myself into "battle mode" to the point where I enjoy the exchange. Otherwise I would be apt to avoid the battle altogether, unless it is against an unquestionable enemy, like sodomites, atheists, or evolutionists.

Three years ago I married Christie and we began a new family with her four young children (the oldest was 10). Christie was herself newly saved. My duty as the leader of the home was to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Within the first year, all the children trusted Christ as their Saviour and began to grow in Him.

Of course one of the things I did as a dutiful husband and father was to have them listen to WVCY, the only reasonably sound, conservative Christian radio station in the area. My wife and kids loved many of the programs. They listened for hours daily.

Then came the presidential election. One thing I have spent time doing for many years is exposing phonies in politics. I can accept human failings but I cannot tolerate phonies. So I showed my family how Rudy Guiliani was a flaming liberal in many issues. I showed them how Mitt Romney was a big-taxing, pro-sodomite Governor of Massachusetts. I exposed how Mike Huckabee was a religious and political liberal in many areas. I showed them how John McCain lost to George W. Bush the previous election because he was more liberal than Bush - and they saw how liberal Bush really was.

The only truly consistent, constitutional, conservative candidate was Dr. Ron Paul. He has an area or two of disagreement (his personal view that homosexuality is genetic, probably the biggest one), but his position of limiting the federal gov't and letting State and local gov'ts determine those things works to insulate us from even those few areas of disagreement.

My wife and step-kids got to be way more familiar with politicians than they had ever been before. They quickly developed their own "baloney detectors" and are now pretty good at spotting phonies themselves (better than 90% of Christian adults I believe). They got familiar with the positions of Ron Paul, and the misrepresentations against him when he'd be accused of supporting certain vices that he was actually against on a personal level, but thought were not things the federal gov't should determine (and constitutionally, he was right virtually every time).

So when several programs on WVCY perpetuated the false accusations against Paul, but strongly promoted Mike Huckabee, even the children noticed something was amiss. I justified it to them for months with things like, "Well, Huckabee is a Baptist preacher and they are seeing that and overlooking his liberal positions and failings." But after dozens and dozens of such episodes, it got more and more difficult to get my family to look past the spinning and continue to listen to WVCY.

In the meantime, I had exchanged several letters with Vic Eliason, and some of the other commentators at WVCY, pertaining to the candidates. The skirmish was quietly brewing behind the scenes. At that point I hoped it could be resolved before it erupted. Vic did threaten to pull the broadcast of the church I belong to off the air, but my Pastor told me not to worry about that.

The straw that broke the camel's back was WVCY's mischaracterization of Dr. Paul's view on creation vs. evolution. I have a creation science ministry, so that is an issue my family has become very familiar with. I looked myself to find his views on the issue. At first I found a few ambiguous comments in which Dr. Paul noted that a president's view on the matter should have little relevance since the federal gov't should have no involvement in science or education, which is true. But I finally found a few documented quotes and videos where Dr. Paul admitted he did NOT accept evolution as a valid scientific theory. That, of course, was very satisfying for us to learn.

But then we heard Janet (Folger) Porter on her show flatly state that Ron Paul was a evolutionist! Even our four-year-old perked up at that. She had seen the video proof to the contrary.

I immediately wrote to Vic, sent him the written documentation and the video and told him to let me know when he made the correction and I would give him credit for it publicly, but if he did not, I would also make that known publicly. I got silence in return.

About that same time (very possibly before he got my email), we heard Vic Eliason himself accuse Dr. Paul of believing in evolution. I sent Vic the proof again. Again I got no response.

Several days later, we heard Brannon Howse accuse Dr. Paul of being an evolutionist on his show on WVCY. That was literally strike three.

After that, every time I put WVCY on the radio, I could literally see the countenance drop on my wife and kids. I had spent the past two years teaching them to reject phonies and here we were listening to a station that had LIED to them three times in a row, and refused to retract the lies when given the proof. I could no longer have them listen to WVCY without being a hypocrite myself.

All that was needed was for Vic to say, "Oops, we were mistaken about Dr. Paul's position on evolution." That would've rectified the situation and made him an honest man in the sight of my wife and kids. But we got nothing of the sort from Vic or WVCY and I could no longer stand to see my family cringe every time they heard his voice on the air. What a shame that when my young children hear WVCY and Vic Eliason, the first thing that comes to their remembrance is lies. That is their perception of Vic and VCY even though I tried to make excuses for them until the excuses were no longer satisfying to a four year old child.

Not long after we stopped listening, a friend called to let me know that Vic was interviewing Alan Keyes on Crosstalk. I checked it out for a while and then put that on the blog because I was dumfounded that Vic would shun Ron Paul but interview and support a Roman Catholic. That was in Feb. of '08. The blog sat idle until somebody read the Keyes post and complained to Vic just last month (October '09). Instead of contacting me, Vic tattled to my Pastor (and didn't get anywhere with him). And that opened the Catholic can of worms that are currently squirming. I started looking over WVCY and started running into more Catholics than when I was an altar boy (okay, that's hyperbole, but the point stands).

So the WVCY website calls Brigette Gabriel a "Christian".

Being leery by now, I decided to look up this person. On the Wickipedia page for her (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brigitte_Gabriel), it noted she was a "Maronite Christian". Not knowing what a Maronite was, I looked that up as well. I was hardly surprised to find this:

So we see that within the past week, WVCY has identified a Maronite Catholic Papist as a "Christian". I wonder if Vic challenged Gabriel's "Christianity" during the interview? Did he ask for a salvation testimony? Did he expose the doctrinal errors of the Catholic Church? Or did he leave his audience misled with the false belief that his guest was a Christian?

Another Rock, Another Catholic Connection

Everywhere I look related to WVCY I find Catholic tolerance. I don't even have to dig deep into their archives, or search very hard. It pops up every day, almost everyplace I look.

Earlier we showed a ton of stuff from WVCY's website itself. We noted similar items on Janet Porter's site. We found a gold mine on Ingrid Schlueter's blog. Today I thought I'd take a quick peek at Brannon Howse's site. I go there often for Christian news, but not with the mindset of looking for pro-Catholic items. However, since they have a program on WVCY, and they were complicit in spreading lies about Ron Paul during the election, it would no longer be a surprise to see some pro-Catholic item there (birds of a feather).

Just in case they remove it (or it gets "hacked" and removed), here's a screen shot. Notice the article, "Good Catholics Should Not be Masons". Why would an evangelical Christian site care if "good Catholics" are Masons? Shouldn't they be concerned with whether Christians should be Masons? Or do they consider "good Catholics" (the kind who believe Mary is a co-redemptrix, their infant baptism carries salvation graces, pray the rosary, believe in purgatory, etc.) to be Christians?

The line sure is blurry when it comes to WVCY and their associates.

GESU CHURCH

Do a search on Ingrid's blog for "Gesu Church". It shows up several times. Her husband has played there. Her children have been there. etc.

I decided to look up this Gesu Church. Here's what I found on Wickipedia:

Although the church is not affiliated with Marquette University, through a 1991 partnership, it ministers to the downtown campus of Marquette and surrounding neighborhood.

Everywhere I look at WVCY, the Roman Catholic Church shows up. And if the day comes that Vic turns the station over to his daughter, the Catholic connection will get tighter.

I didn't even get a thank-you for alerting WVCY of the hack-job. Apparently somebody didn't want this to be reported to the authorities and traced to its origin. In any case, I'm glad the smear of a good church is no longer there.

Does WVCY even check out their guests at all before they parade them to Christian listeners? While we support their position on Rifqa, couldn't WVCY have found a more godly source for information?

Geller's website is http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com. At the top of the home page is a naked, gold, female "Atlas", holding up the world. "Atlas Shrugged" is a novel written by an outspoken atheist. An atheist and a nude woman on the website should've been clues for WVCY to check just a little before putting this woman on the air. They'd have found it gets worse:

Showing nakedness, using the Lord's name in vain, honored by the homosexuals - and then a guest on WVCY. I don't expect everyone to be on VCY to be pristine, none of us are, but if those things did not disqualify her from being a guest on a Christian radio show, they must have qualified her to be interviewed by Vic Eliason on WVCY's Crosstalk. What a smudge on the cross of Christ to have such a worldy woman on a show called "Crosstalk".

This blog page has been hacked by somebody and I want to make it clear that neither me, nor the church I belong to, had anything to do with the hacking, nor do we support hacking, no do we support the violent sentiments spewed by the hacker.

Bro. Eliason and WVCY:

I was alerted today that a blog by Ingrid Schlueter was hacked (screen shot below) and the name of me and the church I belong to were mentioned.

Let me state for the record that I had nothing to do with this, nor have any knowledge of who did it. I have no disciples (especially ones who can't spell the word correctly). I am just a church member. Neither me, nor Wyldewood Baptist Church advocate the violence mentioned by the hacker.

I recommend you contact the authorities and report this and have it traced back to the culprit. Hacking is a serious crime, as is advocating violence as the hacker did. I would certainly be willing to prosecute whoever used this to smear the church I belong to.

Please let me know of your progress in investigating and prosecuting this hacking. If I don't hear from you soon, I will contact the proper authorities myself.

I have cc'd and bcc'd this to several people to make sure it's documented and witnessed.

CATHOLIC LAWYER

Every rock we turn over at WVCY has a Catholic underneath, and this one came with some additional surprises. I was warned that Vic might sic his lawyer on me. So I decided to look up the guy who used to be his lawyer (I don't know if he still is), Michael Steinhafel (pictured in the "prison orange" jumpsuit).

I can only find one Michael Steinhafel who is a lawyer in the Milwaukee area, so I assume this is the guy (if not, I will obviously take this post down).

I found out some interesting things about attorney Steinhafel, besides the fact that he is a Roman Catholic member of St. Mary's church in Elm Grove, WI. http://www.spoke.com/info/pEzcrDp/MichaelSteinhafel

He is a REPEAT drunk driver http://www.jsonline.com/news/waukesha/68886767.html, arrested for drunk driving once in 1998, a second time with a .23 (triple the legal limit) in 2008, and again just last week with a .157 (double the legal limit), with his children in the car, driving without a license.

If he is still Eliason's lawyer, it looks like he will be unavailable for awhile.

That's not all! He was censured by the Wisconsin Bar for other offenses http://www.wisbar.org/AM/PrinterTemplate.cfm?Section=Wisconsin_Lawyer&template=/CM/ContentDisplay.cfm&contentid=72508. He took prepayment for services and then did almost nothing, while telling the clients he had done many things he hadn't. He advised one client to be deceitful.

This must be why southerners pronounce both "lawyer" and "liar" the same way, "LAHR".

All the Christian law ministries Vic has connections to (and has on his station), and this is what he resorted to for his own representation, or that of his Christian radio station?

This is difficult for me to believe. There must be a mistake. Perhaps there is another Catholic lawyer in the area with the same name who I have confused with a drunken, lying, thief. (Disclaimer: Not all lawyers, Catholics, or Catholic lawyers are drunks, liars, or thieves. Some are of very honorable character.)

In case the below is not enough, here is more information to corroborate my claims that WVCY has supported Catholics, has dismissed those who preach against RCC doctrines, and are Catholic-tolerant:

Catholic woman Phyllis Schlafly is a "Crosstalk" regular, of course, in addition to having her own program air on VCY, the "Phyllis Schlafly Report."

Mark Crutcher has been on "Crosstalk" a number of times. Crutcher's television program "Life Talk" includes priest Frank Pavone as a host. (This was so now and at the time of the May 28, 2008 "Crosstalk" with Mark Crutcher.) Also, Troy Newman and Cheryl Sullenger of Operation Rescue (very ecumenical) have been on a number of times. Chris Slattery has also been on the show. He's Roman Catholic also. Upon a quick glance at his site, Expectant Mother Care, I noticed he currently has a link on his site to the "Most Holy Family Monastery"!

The university of Notre Dame is the premier Catholic-Jesuit educational institution in America.

It has been interesting getting back into the student mode again after so many years of motherhood. I thought I’d list a few things I experienced in the last few months in returning to the college where I started out years ago.
1. Very little has changed at the school over the [24] years and so I pass doors of classrooms and I wonder, “Where did Sister Mary Frances Therese go? Shouldn’t she be in there, getting ready for class?” She has been dead many years now. Many of the students in my class are the same age as my own older children, and that rattles me.

TG: In two lengthy articles, Ingrid doesn't give one word of warning about Roman Catholic doctrines that can send people to hell. She doesn't even mention that nuns are not found in the Bible, nor is mandated celibacy. But she does speak glowingly of them. She mentions they are dead now, but says not one word about where they went after death. Purgatory?

Maybe we are seeing a clue as to why Vic Eliason is so accommodating to Roman Catholics and will strain to find reasons to throw any anti-Catholic doctrine preachers off his airwaves, (Dave Hunt, Ralph Ovadal, among others).

You may be wondering what the relevance is of the photo above. The photo is that of lesbian Maya Keyes, daughter of Alan Keyes, the Roman Catholic presidential candidate. WVCY has had Alan Keyes on their station and promoted his candidacy. He is not in favor of homosexuality and has become estranged from his daughter, but this might show the fruits of his labors.

I am not claiming that WVCY preaches Roman Catholic doctrines, but they certainly have given promotion to Roman Catholics and been Catholic-tolerant.

If Vic Eliason claims otherwise, perhaps he can explain the following, aired on WVCY, taken from Janet Porter's F2A's own website. He will claim that Catholics are only on in the context of politics. Some of these examples belie that claim:

WVCY CATHOLIC CONNECTIONS

Word has it that WVCY broadcaster, and daughter of Vic Eliason, Ingrid Schlueter, attended a Roman Catholic university. Besides the obvious conflict and confusion, I wonder who paid for that?

This certainly does not mean that WVCY espouses Roman Catholic doctrine, but it is yet another indicator that they are very Catholic tolerant. They certainly have supported Roman Catholics. Perhaps it would cost them too much money if they offended their pro-Catholic listeners? I submit that it would offend truth and God to ignore the erroneous Catholic doctrines.

Roman Catholic woman Phyllis Schlafly is a regular on WVCY. Janet (Folger) Parker has interviewed many Catholics (notice also how many programs on VCY are headed by women). Both Vic and Ingrid have interviewed Catholics.

When Catholics are interviewed on WVCY, rarely, if ever, is their denomination revealed to the listening audience. No disclaimers are offered that WVCY rejects their unscriptural doctrines.

Yesterday I caught a few minutes of Vic Eliason on "CrossTalk". He had Roman Catholic Alan Keyes on his show for a half hour promoting his campaign and his switch from the GOP to the Constitution party. Callers and discussion on Keyes continued after Alan left.

Why is it that Vic would not have Ron Paul, or even a Paul representative (I offered Vic several alternatives) on CrossTalk, but he does have Alan Keyes? Ron Paul is a Baptist, who believes the things Eliason purports to believe himself and holds for WVCY. Keyes, as a Catholic, rejects salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

That's hardly the only problem with Keyes, who poses as a conservative and enters races that already have principled, constitutional conservatives (Pat Buchanan in the past, Ron Paul currently) to siphon votes away from them.

In the interest of full disclosure let it be known that I (Joe Liberty) was on the ballot as a delegate for Dr. Keyes in the Republican primary in 2000. It was shortly after that that I first heard of the Constitution Party and began campaigning for Howard Phillips. Keyes, who was a college roomate of Bill Kristol, whose father was the founder of modern neocons, also said the following:

"I think a cogent argument could be made for reparations in principle," Keyes is quoted as saying to reporters yesterday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The Chicago Tribune expanded:

Keyes gave a brief tutorial on Roman history and said that in regard to reparations for slavery, the U.S. should do what the Romans did: "When a city had been devastated [in the Roman empire], for a certain length of time--a generation or two--they exempted the damaged city from taxation."

Keyes proposed that for a generation or two, African-Americans of slave heritage should be exempted from federal taxes--federal because slavery "was an egregious failure on the part of the federal establishment."

I know the lady who was Keyes' email secretary for one of his falied runs. Once she saw things from the inside, she became a Howard Phillips supporter. She didn't trust Keyes' United Nations connections (he was a former ambassador to the UN).

Keyes is also an ardent supporter of the war on terror. The Constitution party is opposed to it. Which one is going to compromise its values for Keyes to be a CP candidate?

I certainly don't justify homosexuality as a godly lifestyle and your inference that I do is making you appear ludicrous to anyone who knows me. I will grant you, Ron Paul has a more ambiguous position on homosexuality than I do. It is the item I most disagree with him about (if you are a dishonest man, you will ignore the rest of this letter and use only the above clip). However, his position on it as a federal officer is proper. He wants to keep the federal gov't out of people's private affairs. He wants to let States decide on such issues, as the Constitution has always provided. Dr. Paul has said so far as his personal views, he leads by example, having been married to the same woman for 51 years.

I agree with him at the federal level, while I have also been very active in opposing homosexuality at my local level. That's how our Constitution is supposed to work. I've passed out literature against sodomy. I testified for the marriage amendment before the State Congress. I hosted a pro-marriage rally in Oshkosh. I operate the Wisconsin Marriage Defenders blog. I've written numerous letters to the Oshkosh Northwestern on the topic. What people do in private is their business, as long as they keep it private. That doesn't make it right or wrong. We have the right to be secure in our houses (4th Amendment). I don't know about you, but I don't go around peeking in people's windows to catch homosexuals performing their acts. When it becomes a problem is when they want their lifestyle to be accepted by others or be made a public issue. That is where Ron Paul draws the line. He does not support any gov't recognition, funding, or benefits for sodomites. He believes marriage should be a religious matter, as it used to be, and not a gov't matter. This problem has gotten continually worse as the federal gov't gets more involved. The solution is not to give the federal gov't more authority in our private matters. Wasn't America better off when we dealt with this at the State level?

On the other hand, the Lawrence vs. Texas decision declared homosexuality a constitutional right at the federal level and struck down all State anti-sodomy laws. Ron Paul is strongly against this issue being decided at the federal level. However, Rev. Mike Huckabee said he believed the decision was "appropriate". How do you justify Rev. Huckabee's position? Why haven't you spent as much time berating Huckabee for that as you have berating Ron Paul?

Homosexuality would continue to blossom under a Huckabee presidency (and Hillary, Obama, or McCain), but it would be regulated to the bedroom under a Ron Paul administration. That's the way it used to be. Sodomites kept to themselves. Now that they have federal gov't protection (considered "appropriate" by Rev. Huckabee) they are infesting our society. If we give the fedgov the authority to define marriage, why would we expect that to favor us in the long run? Look what they're doing now with the authority we've already given them pertaining to marriage. Is the solution to give them more power?

SIMPLY THROWING OUT TERMS LIKE "LIES" ," DECEPTION", "DISHONESTY", "ERRORS", "FABRICATION" DOES NOT PROVE YOUR POINT

The first time you made the erroneous claims, you might have been mistaken or misled. But after being corrected several times over a period of months, to continue perpetrating these things can only be called lies. You can no longer hide behind ignorance. It is now deception. If I called your claims against Dr. Paul anything else at this point, I'd be lying.

All you had to do was to set the record straight, to admit to the original errors. You should still do that, by the way.

I supplied the documentation. I sent you a VIDEO of Ron Paul himself saying he did not accept the theory of evolution, as well as written documentation of that. I sent you written documentation, including websites, for the other positions you misrepresented. I cc'd most of it to others (as with this email - witnesses are a wonderful thing, aren't they!?) so you cannot claim I didn't send it. Well, you can claim it, but that will only lessen your own credibility.

How did the States handle it for 150 years when America operated under the Constitution? It worked a lot better then than it does now. Under the Constitution, States can prosecute any of these things. However, abortion is now handled at the federal level. Has it gotten any better? Homosexuality is now protected at the federal level (State anti-sodomy laws have been stricken down). Has that improved? Drugs are now handled at the federal level. How has that made the situation better? What has our "uniform code" done to protect anybody from the migration of crime and immorality? Now NO State can protect itself from those things. It's happening right in front of your eyes, and you want to add gasoline to the fire and solve the problem by creating more of the problem.

Under the Constitution, States have the right to set and enforce their own standards. They can outlaw homosexuality, forcing them to flee to States that accept it (if any would). Under the Constitution, those vices can be isolated. Having these things controlled by the fedgov has caused them all to spread and worsen.

Somehow Christians have gotten away from the Constitutional concept of liberty. Oh, they want liberty for themselves, but none for anybody else. That is not a free society, that is an oppressive society. And that works against us every time, because we don't always get to call all the shots. If we oppress others, what do we expect them to do when they are in positions of authority and influence? When the ground is level for everybody, Christianity flourishes, because we have the transforming word of God. Christianity is squelched when it is legislated against at the federal level. This is why we can no longer have Bibles and prayer in public schools, or the ten commandments in courtrooms, and such like. If we keep things out of the hands of the fedgov (which is what the Constitution was written to specifically do), they cannot become oppressive.

Drugs are a different problem. It is a medical problem that was made into a criminal problem by passing arbitrary laws. The federal gov't has no business declaring which drugs are legal or illegal. By usurping this authority, they've banned some alternative treatments that have shown success. The fedgov also already has bills that would make vitamins and supplements illegal without gov't permission, under the same usurped authority they declare other drugs illegal. Hey, if they can decide which drugs are legal, why shouldn't they control vitamins too? On what grounds could we argue otherwise? The fedgov will get full control over our health care.

Anytime the gov't declares "war" on something, drugs, poverty, literacy, homelessness, etc., that item gets worse. When the gov't lets private concerns and the free market deal with such things, there is much more success.

ONE HAS TO ASK, IF MR. PAUL DOES NOT SEE SEXUAL PERVERSION AS A SIN AND HAS NO MORAL CONVICTION AGAINST THIS BLIGHT, THE WICKEDNESS WILL BE FLOODING IN AN EVEN GREATER WAY THE COUNTRY WE ALL ASK GOD TO BLESS.

One has to ask, if Rev. Mike Huckabee wants sodomy handled at the Federal level, and is on record as saying that the Lawrence vs. Texas decision which struck down State anti-sodomy laws and rendered homosexuality as a constitutionally protected right was an "appropriate" decision, how we expect to hold back the flood of wickedness?

YOU SAY THAT JIMS ANNOUNCEMENT THAT MR. PAUL IS CUTTING BACK HIS CAMPAIGN. THIS WAS MADE PUBLIC TWO DAYS BEFORE AND WAS COMMON KNOWLEDGE. YOU MUST NOT HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THIS.

I'm fully aware of Ron Paul's daily campaign activities. Spending some time on his Congressional seat is not the same thing as suspending his presidential campaign, and it is deception to suggest it is. He said he is staying in the race through the convention. He is gaining as many delegates as possible and trying to prevent liberal John McCain from gaining a majority. This will produce a brokered convention which will free delegates to vote for whoever they want in a second ballot.

He cut some staff that he hired specifically for "super Tuesday" because they were no longer needed. That is called being frugal, faithful, and showing good stewardship with other people's money. Had he kept them on, you'd probably be rebuking him for being wasteful.

Have you rebuked Rev. Huckabee for his dirty rock concerts, playing his guitar to such lyrics as "I laid a divorcee", "I met a gin soaked bar queen", or the song he played during the campaign that talked about meeting some lover after midnight who was better than all his previous lovers? Have you winked at Rev. Huckabee's heinous sins? Has your thinking been clouded by political aims?

You have exposed the CFR and similar New World Order purveyors on your station before. Have you pointed out that Rev. Huckabee wrote an article for the CFR publication "Foreign Affairs", wrote an "essential document" for the CFR website, make a speech to the CFR, and admitted his foreign policy is steered by CFR President Richard Haass? Has your thinking been clouded by political aims?

Today on WVCY, Jim Schneider added another lie to the pile of deceptions WVCY has perpetrated about Ron Paul.

In recent months, they let Faith to Action's Janet Folger tell a bunch of lies on WVCY about Dr. Paul including:

* Claiming Dr. Paul "Did not vote for the Marriage Protection Act." (he in fact, co-sponsored the bill!). That claim was later withdrawn despite being repeated at least twice, Folger saying she meant a Federal Amendment.

* That's still not totally honest, because Dr. Paul, in his interview with Janet, told her he supported Jesse Helms' version of the Federal human life bill.

* Claiming Dr. Paul "believes in evolution". Despite PROOF to the contrary being sent to Vic Eliason, this lie has not been corrected.

* Saying Dr. Paul "believes in the legalization of prostitution, the legalization of drugs." and "He would not enforce the hard core obscenity violations." No, he believes these things should be handled locally, not by "Big Brother".

Today (2-18-08), the day before the Wisconsin primary, Jim Schneider claimed that Ron Paul has suspended his campaign to concentrate on his Congressional race. While he is also trying to retain his seat in Texas, he has not at all suspended his presidential campaign. To his credit, Marv Munyon tried to set Jim straight, but Jim controls the microphone and was able to spread the fabrication just prior to the Wisconsin primary.

These repeated misrepresentations of Ron Paul can no longer be simply ignorance. WVCY have been informed of their errors and not only have failed to correct them, but they continue to add to them. It's appalling that a Christian ministry would behave in such a manner.

They have made it obvious that they are Mike Huckabee lackeys. But even if they want to support the tax hiking, illegal alien enabling, profane rocking, New World Order pawn, they don't have to lie about Dr. Paul.

Despite the fact that WVCY is the most conservative Christian station, I can no longer recommend them when they are avidly perpetuating deceit and ignoring correction. In fact I have to recommend against them. Until they correct these errors, listen to talk radio or find something on the internet. Do not reward WVCY for being deceitful.

Vic Eliason's previous response was to tacitly threaten to pull my church's broadcast off the air. Now I hope he makes good on that threat, because I do not like my church being associated with the ungodly deception that has been going on WVCY.

Dr. Paul on Evolution

That means ... JANET FOLGER is being DISHONEST to continue to insist that Dr. Paul "believes in evolution". Of course we already knew that because when she interviewed him, he told her directly: "I think that the creation has been brought here by God ... We're God's creatures ... I don't say there's no evolution, nor do I say there is evolution".

Why does Janet continue to insist (on WND and WVCY) that "Ron Paul is an evolutionist."? Because she needs to lie about him so she can promote "Tax Hike" Mike Huckabee (by being deceptive about him, too).

These comments came from Eric Dondero, the "disgruntled ex-employee" who was forced out of the Paul campaign. The same Eric Dondero that Tim Russert quoted in his "Meet the Press" interview with Dr. Paul. He's trying to make Dr. Paul look bad by admitting he DENIED evolution for at least the past 12 years.

Mike the Moonwalker (if illegal aliens came from the moon, he'd give them our tax dollars) backs off on creation, saying it's a "process" that might have taken long ages (sounds like evolution or theistic evolution). The "only candidate with a theological degree" admits he doesn't know how and when God created, and he can't even get through Genesis 1:1 correctly. You can ask any 1st grader in our church youth program and get a more scriptural and definitive answer than you can get from this guy who was the Chairman of the Arkansas Southern Baptist Convention. When do these kids get their degrees?

Neither candidate takes a vocal YEC stance like I would, but what matters for the presidency is not so much each candidate's personal belief. What matters is how they stand on education. Ron Paul wants to disband the federal Dep't of Education and get the fedgov totally out of education and let parents determine what their kids should be taught. He is an ardent supporter of homeschooling. Mike Huckabee SAYS similar things, but he still supports fedgov oversight of schools, tests, teachers, and students.

So if Ron Paul was a committed evolulu and Mike Huckabee was an officer of the Institute for Creation Research, Christians and creationists would still be better off with Dr. Paul.

Dear Vic and Janet:

Can I assume you will now make the correction on all the different medium you have propagated the lie that Ron Paul is an evolutionist? That means on Crosstalk, Faith 2 Action, WND, and any other forum where the false information has been spread. That would be the Christian thing to do, right?

IF I receive confirmation that you have make the appropriate corrections, I will do the Christian thing and spread word of your honesty and integrity. If not, I will do the Christian thing and warn of your knowing propagation of deceit.

What Vic Eliason Slept Through

A few of us confronted Janet Folger and Vic Eliason about their misrepresentations of Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee. They accused Dr. Paul of supporting things like pornography because he believes they should be dealt with at the State or local level rather than by "Big Brother" federal government. By this time they can no longer claim ignorance. Their misrepresentations are intentional. Here's what Vic said (after threatening to pull Wyldewood's Sunday morning service off WVCY 690 AM).

Vic Eliason: I WAS IN THE AUDITORIUM WHEN RON PAUL WAS ASKED QUESTIONS ON THE VERY ISSUES ADDRESSED. HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO VERBALLY CLARIFY HIS POSITION ON (STATE ISSUE) VS. (NATIONAL ISSUE) IN MOST CASES HE ONLY TURNED ON HIS RED LIGHT TO INDICATE HE VOTED NO. HE HAD AMPLE TIME TO CLARIFY HIS POSITION AT THE END. HE HAD A FULL 4 MINUTES TO CLARIFY IT AND HARDLY ANYTHING EXPLAINING HIS POSITION WAS EVEN SPOKEN BY HIM.

Do American fundamental Christians no longer understand the protections of the separation of powers and the checks and balances of our system of government?

Janet Folger heads Faith 2 Action, a well-known Christian activist ministry. She was the spearhead behind the Values Voter debate. She is a Mike Huckabee shill who has greatly distorted the records of both Huckabee and Dr. Ron Paul.

Her deception can be confirmed in at least three places - and please check out all three. The first was her own interview with Rep. Paul on F2A (http://www.f2a.org/radio/archive2003.htm). We then can see how she misrepresented things Paul said to her in her WorldNetDaily column (http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58524) and in an interview of her by WVCY Crosstalk host Vic Eliason (http://www.crosstalkamerica.com/shows/2007/10/values_voter_debates2008_campa.php). I've casually known Bro. Eliason, and respected him greatly, for more than 15 years and I am shocked that he is giving Folger opportunity to spread her propaganda.

Folger has ignored several unpleasant facts about Mike Huckabee, (he outspent Bill Clinton, wrote for the CFR, was reprimanded five times for ethics violations, supported illegal aliens being funded by taxpayers and foreigners voting in our elections, etc.) and has made up several unpleasant falsehoods (I'm being polite in my assessment here) about Dr. Ron Paul. A few of her misrepresentations of Rep. Paul were due to her ignorance of the Constitution, but most of them were made up out-of-thin-air, much like the Federal Reserve does with our money.

In her WND column she spews this fabrication about Dr. Paul:

Rep. Ron Paul: In addition to being against the Marriage Protection Act, Paul is an evolutionist who wouldn't protect the Terri Schiavos of the world from a starvation death because our Founding Fathers never thought to enumerate it in the Constitution. He also wants to legalize drugs and prostitution but wouldn't enforce obscenity violations. Don't believe me? See for yourself at ValuesVoterDebate.com.

She likewise boldly challenged listeners on Crosstalk to listen to her interview with Ron Paul to hear for themselves. Maybe she didn't think anyone would take her up on that challenge, but I did. I went and listened to her interview. I was left wondering if she was even listening to her own interview. Some of the things she claimed about Dr. Paul were virtually the opposite of what he told her. To do so five or six times goes beyond being a careless mistake. To repeat the same slanders in at least two different forums suggests careful intent. Let's take a look at her claims and compare them to what Dr. Paul told her himself in his interview.

Rep. Paul is "against the Marriage Protection Act". (WND) "Did not vote for the Marriage Protection Act." (VCY)

Folger is either in gross error or is being deceptive. Far from opposing it, Dr. Paul was an original cosponsor Marriage Protection Act as a proper response in lieu of a federal amendment (http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul207.html). He also supports the Defense of Marriage Act.

Dr. Paul asserts, "I oppose federal efforts to redefine marriage as something other than a union between one man and one woman ... liberal social engineers who wish to use federal government power to redefine marriage will be able to point to the constitutional marriage amendment as proof that the definition of marriage is indeed a federal matter! I am unwilling either to cede to federal courts the authority to redefine marriage, or to deny a state’s ability to preserve the traditional definition of marriage."

Once we give "Big Brother" the authority to define marriage, we will have no recourse when marriage is redefined to include homosexuality, bigamy, incest, or bestiality. We will have given a future Court of a President Hillary administration the right to tell us what marriage is.

"Paul is an evolutionist". (WND) "He believes in evolution". (VCY)

Folger is wrong again. Maybe she is hard of hearing. He did not say that at all. He told Janet it was "a scientific question", but "I think that the creation has been brought here by God ... We're God's creatures ... I don't say there's no evolution, nor do I say there is evolution". In many other forums he has referred to God as our "Creator" and the Originator of our rights.

While he doesn't hold as strong of a young earth creation position as I do, at worst, he took virtually the identical position that Huckabee originally took (which Folger lauded him for). The difference being that Huckabee backed down and said he thought evolution should be taught in the public schools but creation shouldn't, while Paul believes it should be up to the parents what their children are taught, and they could be taught creation. So even if Paul was an evolutionist, his position is better for creationists than Huckabee's position.

"Wouldn't protect the Terri Schiavos of the world from a starvation death." (WND/VCY)

Another mischaracterization to make Rep. Paul appear to be immoral. Dr. Paul is probably the most pro-life member of Congress. But he recognizes the danger of dealing with such things at the federal level, saying "Once you deliver to the federal government, you're more likely to have a bad effect, just like Roe vs. Wade was federal and that's why all States have legalized abortion.".

Rep. Paul asserted, "Any type of murder, manslaughter, any type of violence, in any area, we don't go to the federal government. It is still a State issue." This doesn't mean you don't have respect for life." When someone is robbed, assaulted, or raped, they don't call Washington - they call their LOCAL law enforcement, and deal with their LOCAL courts and LOCAL government. Does that mean we believe in the legalization of rape and robbery? Would I be being honest to say Folger believed in the legalization of rape? Every bit as honest as she was to say Ron Paul wouldn't protect Terri Schiavo and believed in the legalization of prostitution.

"He also wants to legalize drugs and prostitution". (WND) "He believes in the legalization of prostitution, the legalization of drugs." (VCY)

In his interview with Folger, Dr. Paul specifically told her he didn't "endorse" legalization of such things, but he believed the Constitution mandated such things be dealt with at state and local levels. His words were, "That does not mean that because you allow States to solve this, doesn't mean that you endorse any of this." Where Folger claimed Paul wanted to "legalize" these vices, Paul specifically said otherwise. Yet Folger continues to wrongly accuse Dr. Paul. She continued making every effort to portray Rep. Paul as being supportive of immorality, apparently even to the point of telling flat out lies about what he said (and lying is still quite immoral last time I checked my Bible).

Bringing things to the federal level hasn't worked in our favor thus far. We have national abortion-on-demand. We have more pro-sodomite laws than ever before. We have more anti-Bible and anti-Christian laws that ever before. Drug abuse is worse than ever. Pornography is more rampant than ever. Why would we advocate more of what has been so terrible for Christianity and America? When America operated as Rep. Paul advocates, we had a much more moral and Christian society. As we've increasingly looked to the federal nanny to meet our every need, American has become increasingly immoral.

"Wouldn't enforce obscenity violations." (WND) "He would not enforce the hard core obscenity violations." (VCY)

Sorry to sound like a parrot, but it's the same answer that Rep. Paul gave Janet over and over again. Rep. Paul wouldn't enforce those because it is not the duty of the federal government to do so. It's not because he supports obscenity, although that's the impression Folger is again trying to paint Dr. Paul with. He would have to violate his oath of office to enforce those things at the federal level.

Every elected politician takes a vow before his God and his countrymen to support and defend the Constitution. God says in Ecc 5:4 that one who defers to keep a vow is a fool. Are we advocating that our candidates violate their vows to uphold the Constitution? Ron Paul wants to support the Constitutional principle of federalism, that State and local governments supersede the federal Leviathan in everything not specified in the Constitution, per the 9th and 10th Amendments. Janet Folger is advocating that politicians defy Ecc 5:4. It looks like a case of "misery loves company".

"He is also not in favor of a human life amendment". (VCY)

Ron told Janet that there have been several offered and some he supported and others he didn't, depending on how they were written. He told her twice that he co-sponsored Jesse Helms' human life bill, and about his own pro-life bills. Dr. Paul authored the Sanctity of Life bill, which declares personhood upon conception. He also has authored bills to use Article Three of the Constitution to prohibit courts from ruling in favor of abortion.

Pertaining to the pro-life position in general, Paul told Folger, "You can still protect life, but you can't misconstrue what I say and say that the government is legalizing killing. That isn't anything of what I'm talking about."

Janet Folger has repeatedly tried to smear Dr. Paul with the reputation of immorality by claiming he supports legalizing horrible vices like pornography and abortion. Dr. Paul repeatedly told her otherwise, and carefully explained the Constitutional position of State's rights to her, yet Janet has continued to repeat the horrible accusations.

How Janet could keep missing such things is difficult to believe. She seems to be pretty sharp. It's very hard to believe she could be so mistaken so often. She either has a very bad memory, she is delusional, or she is a liar. She's convinced me her memory lapses about Dr. Ron Paul were intentional.

At first, I thought you were merely uninformed about Ron Paul. Instead, you engage in character assassination, slander and a barrage of lies about where he stands on the issues.

Dr. Paul is not an evolutionist, as shown by his statement of born-again faith published in the Covenant News. It will take you a whole minute to find it. With your apparently careless attitude about fact checking and research, that might be too much of a hassle for you. Speaking as a long-time magazine writer, your recent bellowing rant is one of the sleaziest examples of yellow journalism I have encountered in nearly 25 years of writing for pay. Pagans and heathens are far more diligent about fact checking than you have been when it comes to Ron Paul.

Contrary to what you so carelessly said, Paul does not support legalizing prostitution and legalized drug usage. He wants those matters settled at the local and state levels rather than making every crime a federal issue. It's in the Constitution. Try reading it sometime.

Supporting an illegal alien lover such as Mike Huckabee is naive at best. If that isn't bad enough, Huckabee's fiscal record is horrendous. Taxes and state spending grew 65 percent in eight years while Huckabee was governor of Arkansas. His predecessor was Bill Clinton. Maybe Huckabee did do something significant, as making Slick look like a tightwad is quite a feat.

Perhaps you have a problem with reality. Ron Paul raised over $4 million in donations from ordinary people - not a nickel from lobbyists or corporate welfare moochers - in one day. Grassroots Americans don't give that kind of cash to people who allegedly support legalized prostitution and wide-open drug laws. People are hungering for freedom and honesty, and they know Ron Paul is the real deal. Name another politician who refuses to accept his lucrative pension. It's called practicing what you preach.

As of yesterday afternoon, I noticed Huckabee had raised a whopping $115,000 in November. He had stolen Dr. Paul's chart and running totals technique until reality (that word again) became too embarrasing. I see no trace of the running total on the Huckabee web site as of 5:30 a.m. Central this morning. Despite the meager amount of donations, Huckabee does seem to be able to keep you on his payroll as a bootlicking shill and all-around chattering woman.

If a person doesn't like Mormon theology but prefers someone with Mitt Romney's flexible, ever-shifting positions, then Huckabee would be a logical candidate. Otherwise, it's Ron Paul for those who choose death to Soviet Amerika and the New World Order.

I occasionally listened to you in the past (2004-05) on WVCY in Milwaukee. It soon became evident that you were more of an irritant than a reliable information source. After thinking things over awhile, the problem became quite obvious.

I majored in radio and worked in the field for a few years before switching to print journalism, so I speak from a measure of experience. To put it bluntly, you try to sound like a burly man. Ditch the act. As we used to say in the late '70s, you don't have the pipes for it.

Until today, I shut the radio off when you were on the air and let it go at that. My "live and let live" attitude has changed. I will let Vic Eliason know of your total disregard for facts, journalistic ethics and Biblical standards (you viciously slandered Ron Paul, a fellow Christian) and ask that Faith2Action be removed from WVCY. The station will not receive a nickel in donations from me as long as your program is aired.

Dear Mr. Eliason:

My letter to Janet Folger follows this note. It will explain why I wrote to you.

It's one thing to disagree on a political candidate. Reasonable and fair-minded people do that all the time. Spreading malicious lies and distortions about a born-again Christian with a long record of honesty and truth telling is a radically different matter. That is doubly true when the smear campaign is done by a self-proclaimed Christian host on your Christian radio station.

While I'm obviously a Ron Paul supporter, Janet Folger has every right to support Mike Huckabee. The problem is Folger's pathetically untruthful screed about Dr. Paul in World Net Daily. Her accusations were startling in their inaccuracy, and Folger's hissy fit has gone worldwide via WND.

In addition to his constitutionally sound policies, I support Dr. Paul because he is an honorable and decent man. I won't stand by idly when a true American patriot is libeled by a shallow-minded talk show host. As long as Janet Folger has an outlet on your station, VCY America won't get a nickel in donations from me. I will inform Christians at my church and other churches in this area (Fox Valley) and ask them to do the same. Our discretionary giving funds are too precious to waste, and having a part in spreading Janet Folger's babbling is poor stewardship.

For someone who is so careful when it comes to choosing a Christ-honoring music format, I'm puzzled over some of the other programming choices at VCY. Aside from this recent problem, why would you choose to have such a mannish-sounding and acting woman such as Janet Folger on the air? There are many better choices available.

Threats of slander? I threatened you with the TRUTH - which is all I was seeking in the first place. I threatened to use your own words. There's a big difference between our "threats". My threats were asking you to uphold HONESTY concerning someone who is on your station regularly. Your threats were toward a totally unconnected, innocent man (my Pastor) and his church. That is reprehensible behavior. As leverage, you were trying to put a wedge between a Pastor and one of his members, a member who was simply wanting HONESTY. Perhaps you did not know the facts then. You did say in the interview that "It is important to have the facts." I have given you some facts on Mike Huckabee (outspent Bill Clinton, wrote for CFR, reprimanded five times for ethics violations, support of illegal aliens being funded by taxpayers and foreigners voting in our elections, etc.) and some facts about Ron Paul. Now that you have the facts, what will you do with them? Will you set the record straight, or allow deceit to be perpetuated by your radio station?

In that interview Janet said things like "Ron Paul says he won't enforce federal obscenity laws ... he believes in legalization of prostitution and drugs". You oohed and awwed as Janet made these claims. The problem is, they are untrue. Paul does not believe in legalization of such things. He believes they are out of the jurisdiction of the federal government and within the jurisdiction of State and local governments - which is TRUE. He specifically said he didn't advocate legalization of such things when Janet herself interviewed him on F2A. So she knows better and made the false claim anyway.

The Constitution gives "Big Brother" only about 20 specific powers and NO MORE. The 9th and 10th Amendments make it clear that the fedgov has NO authority in anything not specifically mentioned. That includes obscenity laws, prostitution, pornography, education, energy, gambling, drugs, murder, theft, rape, speeding, and zillions of other things. When someone is robbed, assaulted, or raped, they don't call Washington - they call their LOCAL law enforcement, and deal with their LOCAL courts and LOCAL government. Does that mean we believe in the legalization of rape and robbery? Would I be being honest to say you believed in the legalization of rape? Folger also claimed that Ron Paul was not strongly enough pro-life because he didn't support the Human Life Amendment. She failed to mention that Paul co-sponsored Jesse Helms' Human Life bill (which he told her personally, twice, in their interview on F2A) and Dr. Paul himself AUTHORED the Sanctity of Life Amendment, which defines a "person" as existing at conception and thereby entitled to Constitutional rights. His first version of that act was offered in his first term of office, some 30 years ago. He has introduced it numerous times. Yet many supposed "conservative Republicans" won't support it. And Folger has a selective memory loss of things Dr. Paul told her in their interview.

Paul also has authored legislation to use Article 3 to prohibit courts from ruling for abortion. He doesn't just talk pro-life like most politicians, he writes legislation that would immediately and legally protect ALL unborn babies.

Janet also said that the Bible is a higher authority than the Constitution. True enough, but there is nothing in the Constitution that conflicts with the Bible. America was a much more Christian and moral nation when we operated Constitutionally than we are now that we seek to do everything at the federal level. Why do we want to try and solve the apostasy of our federal government by giving more power to the federal government? That is insanity.

BTW, you also ducked the caller who asked why you treated Mormons as cultists but not Catholics. I assume that's because more Catholics support your station than Mormons.

You run a generally fine radio station, but you are not representing it well. Perhaps you would like to rectify that by having a Ron Paul supporter on CrossTalk to set the record straight. I can recommend a number of people who could do that.

Bro. Eliason,

I have heard Janet shill for Huckabee on her shows which air on WVCY several times. I have heard others on WVCY shill for Huckabee. Of course they always end the lauding with a statement to the effect that WVCY isn't endorsing any particular candidate (after just promoting him for the past 30 or 60 minutes).

I am not blaming WVCY only for something Folger wrote on WND. The shilling for Huckabee has been constant with her, WND, and WVCY. The recent WND column was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. The facts about him and Ron Paul have been twisted in each medium. I simply want honesty. You bear some culpability if you allow her a forum to continue to misrepresent.

Out of your 100 hours of programming, there is much I like, and some I don't like. I tolerate the stuff I don't approve of (too many shows with women or Roman Catholic hosts among them) because of the stuff I do like. I realize you have to balance a lot of things to keep a diversity of Christians happy and keep a radio station solvent, while being pleasing to God. You've made a few decisions I disagreed with, but I am also aware that in the big picture, I couldn't do any better unless I was willing to settle for just a few dozen listeners. In the big picture, I believe you've done a formidable job, but that doesn't excuse countenancing falsehood.

I wrote WND about this even before the recent column by Folger. I may write them again. I wrote you this time because I believed you had the character to look into it and hold Folger to reasonable standards of honesty to remain on WVCY (as you have done with others). I have no such confidence in WND.

However, it appears you are threatening to cut off our church from your station because I am complaining about the issue. I did not expect this out of you. Neither did I realize that I, as an individual, am so vital to your radio station that you would have to cut off our church broadcast on my account. If that is the case, my power must be so great that you had better listen to what I say or you won't be able to afford to run your station. If my support is not so vital that you have to jump when I say jump, then you are blowing smoke with that statement and WAY out of line threatening to cut off our church.

I do not respond favorably to threats. Pastor King had nothing to do with this. If you threaten to throw our church off your station, I will do my best to make sure you get plenty of publicity for it. All I will have to do is use your own words and quote your thinly veiled threat.

I wrote a tame letter to WVCY and Janet Folger complaining about their misrepresentation of Ron Paul. Here is the response I received from Vic Eliason:

Dear Sir:

You certainly have the right to disagree with any person you may hear on WVCY. In fact at the end of Janet Folgers program as well as the end of Crosstalk we make a clear statement that some of the views shared on the program may not be those of the Station or VCY America.

If you have issues with something Janet said on the prgm you certainly did the proper thing by writing to her. If I understand it properly, the statements you refer to were written in a news story that was not aired on WVCY. I suggest that you write to World Net Daily regarding the issue as well.

Aside from a few talks shows with which you disagree, VCY America airs more than 100 hours of Bible Teaching and Gospel Music programs each week. According to your statement it is your intent to generate a boycott of the support of your Christian VCY station and all of its other programs because you were offended with an article Janet wrote in WorldNetDaily.

In so doing you may be cutting off the general support that makes it possible for us to offer time
to your Church which is heard each week on Sunday mornings.

If this is your intent, please have Pastor King call me.
